In March of 2024, my family eagerly embarked on the Norwegian Breakaway in the  city of New Orleans, joined by a wonderful group of relatives and friends. We set off on a thrilling adventure through the Western Caribbean, exploring the ports of Costa Maya, Harvest Cay, Roatan, and Cozumel.

The Norwegian Breakaway was the perfect backdrop for our multi-generational family getaway. Our teenagers were in their element, diving into the ship's many attractions. They enjoyed games of basketball, competed in the arcade, and kicked back in the hot tubs, surrounded by friends and laughter.

Meanwhile, our five-year-old was absolutely in love with everything around her. She spent countless hours splashing in the pools with a tasty Mango Meltdown in hand. She enjoyed fun-filled Splash Academy, the Kids' Club that quickly became a highlight of her trip. I was surprised by the long line the first time we visited, but as the doors opened to cheers and excitement, I understood why. She couldn't wait to return! It felt fantastic to leave her in a place she enjoyed, giving us the chance to enjoy a cocktail or dinner.

One of our excursions was a visit to Maya Lost Mayan Kingdom Adventure Park in Costa Maya. Here, the teens tackled water slides and zipped through the air, while our daughter enjoyed the playful water park area, and we relaxed in the pool.

In Roatan, the Jolly Roger Catamaran crew took us on an unforgettable snorkeling excursion filled with vibrant marine life. The food and drinks onboard added to the fun, making it a truly remarkable experience. My mom even jumped in! At 67 years old she experienced her first time snorkeling with the help of the amazing crew and a few fellow cruisers.

When we stopped in Belize, our oldest son who is an avid fisherman was able to convince my husband to do some fishing.   He was thrilled with the new species added to his "I've Caught" list.

Our day at Harvest Cay was a blissful mix of soft sand, saltwater, refreshing drinks, and leisurely shopping—an idyllic escape on Norwegian's beautiful private island! This was our second adventure with Norwegian, and we’re already looking forward to our next voyage!
